Château La Fleur-Pétrus

The Château La Fleur-Pétrus is unquestionably in the pantheon of great Pomerol wines. It is a Domaine which took its name in the 18th century from the localities where its parcels are located, Pétrus and La Fleur. It was the first acquisition in 1950 by Jean-Pierre Moueix, a young wine merchant based in Libourne and of Corrézienne origin, who owned Pétrus. Since that date the vintages of the property have not ceased to rise in quality as much as in reputation among wine lovers throughout the world.

The Château La Fleur Pétrus is based on an 18 hectare vineyard planted on deep gravel and clay soils on the plateau of Pomerol. The grape varieties are 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wines are aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels of which 50% is new wood.

The Château La Fleur Pétrus offers wines with a unique personality, imbued with generosity and elegance like no other. They are complex, beautifully structured and deliciously aromatic.
