Drouhin-Laroze

Drouhin-Laroze

Drouhin-Laroze

A great name of Bourgogne whose vineyard is composed of a myriad of climates, true nuggets of exceptional Rareity.

It was Jean-Baptiste Laroze in 1850 who founded the Laroze vineyard by successive purchases of land and vines, the last acquisition of which "Musigny" dates back to 1996. Today it is the fifth generation that runs the 11 hectare 50 vineyard which took the name Drouhin-Laroze in 1919 when Suzanne Laroze the granddaughter of the founder married Alexandre Drouhin.

Each year the Domaine produces about 50,000 bottles, 46% of which are in the Grand Cru appellation, the highest step in the quality hierarchy of the Bourgognes, 14% in the Premier Cru appellation, and the remaining 40% in the village appellation.
