List of products by Maison Figeac

Château Figeac is a Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru classified continuously since the first classification of Saint-Emilion wines in 1955.

The first traces of the wine property date back to the Gallo-Roman period in the 2nd century and belonged to the Figeacus family who owned a villa there on the site of the current Château. The castle was burnt down in 1586 during the wars of religion and then rebuilt as we know it today.

With an area of 40 hectares of vines, Château Figeac is located in the commune of Saint-Emilion, some three kilometers from Pomerol and extends over exceptional gravel terrain.

The average age of the vineyard is 45 years and is planted with 35% Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon 35% and Merlot Noir 30%.

The entire harvest is manual with an average annual production of 156 barrels, ie around 180 to 200,000 bottles for an average yield per hectare of around 3,500 to 3,600 liters. The wine is aged entirely in new barrels for 15 to 22 months depending on the vintage.
